Smile Theatre is currently looking for a performer for it’s upcoming production, “The Golden Ax”. We are looking for a performer who can sing, and can speak both English and Cantonese.
Storyline
Based on the Chinese version of Aesop Fable “The Honest Woodcutter”, The Golden Ax is a playful and lively musical theatre production, Set in a restaurant in a night market, the magical staff of Honest Lee’s Seafood tests the character traits of unsuspecting patrons through story and song. The show is a special collaboration between YaTong theatre from Taiwan, and Smile Theatre featuring artists from each company. The Golden Ax will be presented in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.

One song, one short monologue in English, with improvised translation into Cantonese
