Come and join us for Smile Theatre’s public showcase performance!
Joyride is a nostalgic musical that takes you cruising down memory lane! When goofy Doody meets his Fairy Godmother and wishes to be cool like Elvis, she sends him on a quest for the perfect car. Enter Judy, a spirited gal selling her beloved ’32 Deuce Coupe named “Bess” to fund her dreams of stardom. They hit the road together and discover something even better than a cool ride: true love. Packed with toe-tapping songs from the ’50s and ’60s (Elvis, Beach Boys, Patsy Cline, and more!), this heartwarming two-hander celebrates vintage cars, young love, and the beautiful journey of growing old together. Buckle up for a show that’s pure fun, fun, fun!
